Video: Tranmere player who appears to call Loris Karius ‘f****** s***’ is a Liverpool fan

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius had another night to forget on Tuesday after his howler in the pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers.

The German shot-stopper would have been desperate to make a positive start to the campaign in order to put his horror show against Real Madrid in the Champions League final last season firmly behind him.

On that occasion in Kiev, the 25-year-old made two costly errors in a 3-1 defeat, and so Liverpool supporters, Jurgen Klopp and Karius himself would have been keen to bounce back and build confidence in pre-season to get over the damaging setback he would have suffered in the aftermath of that loss.

However, it wasn’t to be as Karius was guilty of fumbling a shot out into the path of a Tranmere player who converted, albeit Liverpool held on to secure a 3-2 win.

As noted by Sky Sports, Klopp has defended his first-choice goalkeeper, but it remains to be seen if he’s forced to consider his options when the competitive action gets underway.

Meanwhile, Tranmere ace Ben Tollitt was caught on cameras shouting at Karius that he’s “f****** s***”, as seen in the first tweet below, while it was also dug out by the Reds faithful that the 23-year-old is in fact a Liverpool fan, as seen in the second tweet below.

Karius probably won’t appreciate his thoughts on him, but the German goalkeeper will need to show real resolve and character to bounce back from this latest setback.
