Real Madrid are reportedly happy with how their chances of sealing the transfer of Chelsea star Eden Hazard to replace Cristiano Ronaldo are looking right now.

The Belgium international is in sparkling form at the moment after an impressive World Cup in Russia, and seems ideal for Real to fill an important void in their team.

Los Blancos have just lost prolific scorer and all-time club legend Ronaldo to Juventus, and it’s vital club president Florentino Perez can pull off one of his trademark Galactico signings before the end of the transfer window.

Hazard could be ideal and looks a realistic target due to wanting a move to the Bernabeu and due to his club Chelsea being ready to negotiate, according to Don Balon, who add that things could be wrapped up within the next seven days.

The 27-year-old has been at Chelsea since 2012 and it would be fair to say the club have gone backwards a little since then, with the former Lille man joining the reigning European champions, but with the club not coming close to winning it again since, and now not even participating in the competition next season.

The Times have suggested Chelsea want £200million or more for Hazard, but that shouldn’t be beyond Real, who must have known they’d have to fork out huge sums of cash to replace Ronaldo.
