With Cristiano Ronaldo now gone, it’s clear for all to see that Real Madrid are going to have to sign one or two players to fill the void that the Portuguese sensation has left.

And it seems like Anthony Martial may be that man, as Don Balon state that Los Blancos are eyeing up a move for the Frenchman this summer.

The report notes that club president Florentino Perez is keen on bringing the player to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, and that Mourinho has made it clear to Martial that he isn’t in his plans for this season.

The Express has reported in the past that Mourinho’s side are set to want around €67M (£60M) for the winger, implying that this is what they rate him at.

Martial is wanted by Real Madrid this summer, with Mourinho not having him in his plans for this season

Since arriving at Old Trafford from Monaco in the summer of 2015, Martial has definitely failed to live up his potential for the Premier League giants.

The 22-year-old has been given a multitude of chances to impress under both Mourinho and former United boss Louis van Gaal, with the wide-man failing to take the majority of those.

The former Monaco ace has only managed to score a total of 36 goals in 136 appearances at Old Trafford, a record that we’re sure a lot of Man United fans are disappointed with.

Real signing Martial would definitely help the club replace Ronaldo this summer, however just signing him and no one else surely won’t be enough to replace the presence of the winger at the Bernabeu this year.
