Leicester City have notably picked out an image of Harry Maguire in their new away kit after tweeting pictures of the 2018/19 strip on their official page.
This follows the Daily Mirror recently claiming Manchester United had enquired about signing the England international after his hugely impressive performances in the Premier League last season and at the World Cup this summer.
Maguire would be an ideal solution to United’s defensive problems, looking a clear upgrade on the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones at the back.
This is illustrated by the fact that Gareth Southgate gave him the nod over Jones at the World Cup, while Smalling didn’t even make the England squad.
United can surely do better and one imagines their fans would welcome the arrival of a player like Maguire, who is just entering his peak years and who looks both solid at the back and composed on the ball.
Some Leicester fans, however, are understandably taking this tweet to mean it looks like the 25-year-old will be remaining at the King Power Stadium in what could be taken as a possible statement by the Foxes amid the reported interest from United…
