Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has tweeted what looks to be a goodbye message to Real Madrid, despite the fact that he’s only at Stamford Bridge on loan.
It remains to be seen how this post will go down at Real Madrid, with Marca reporting that the Spanish giants plan to have Kovacic back with them next season as they rate him highly.
However, the Croatia international’s language in his tweet seems to strongly hint at leaving Real on a permanent basis, though it cannot be entirely clear if this is perhaps an issue of his imperfect English.
After three years filled with trophies I have decided to move on. Eventhough are paths now separate I want to say big thank you to @realmadrid family and all the fans for an amazing part of my life I will never forget. #HalaMadrid pic.twitter.com/vka7UUfsig

This perhaps seems unlikely, though, as Marca had previously reported of Kovacic wanting out of Madrid earlier this summer, so perhaps even if he doesn’t remain with Chelsea permanently, he does not see his future at the Bernabeu anyway.
If he impresses in his time in west London, the 24-year-old could well earn himself another big move, so will hope this can be a positive season for him.
For now, both Chelsea and Real Madrid fans have certainly reacted with some confusion and intrigue to this tweet…
sounds like a goodbye message lads
