Video: Andres Iniesta’s majestic first touch sets up his first goal for Vissel Kobe

Andres Iniesta is off and running after scoring his first goal for Vissel Kobe in their 2-1 win over Jubilo Iwata on Saturday.

The Spaniard left Barcelona and retired from international football earlier this year, as he embarks on his new challenge in Japan.

While he has shown glimpses of his class thus far, the 34-year-old really turned on the style this weekend as he scored a wonderful solo goal, as seen in the video below.

Having initially started the passage of play, the veteran playmaker drifted into the box and took an incredible first touch to take it round the defender before keeping his composure and slotting his effort into the back of the net.

Ultimately, he may well have felt as though he couldn’t compete at the highest level as he continues to edge into the latter stages of his career. That doesn’t stop him from producing moments of brilliance though clearly…
