Arsenal have confirmed the departure of young midfielder Josh Dasilva via their matchday programme today, according to high-profile Gunners youth blogger Jeorge Bird.
The 19-year-old was reported by the Daily Mirror earlier this summer as having been offered a new contract to remain at the Emirates Stadium, but it seems he’s decided to move on for a new challenge.

Not a huge amount is known about Dasilva, and it seems perhaps he wasn’t exactly the most highly rated prospect at the club, though it is perhaps something of a blow if they wanted him to stay on but he’s rejected that proposal.
Confirmed in programme that Josh Dasilva is no longer an Arsenal player.

It is not yet clear where the teenager will be heading next, with Bird simply tweeting that the matchday programme ahead of today’s game against Manchester City confirms he has left the club.
This will be Unai Emery’s first game in charge of Arsenal this afternoon, and it’s a tricky start against Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions.
