Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly played a big part in Real Madrid failing with a €65M swoop for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
As per Don Balon, Los Blancos saw a €65M turned down by the Old Lady due to a request made by Cristiano Ronaldo, something we’re sure Real fans aren’t very happy with!
The report also states that Ronaldo told the Juventus chiefs to not sell anyone if they weren’t going to bring anyone in, a smart call from the Portuguese star, as losing a player like Pjanic without bringing a replacement would’ve been a seriously poor move from Juve.
Juventus fans will be delighted to here this news, as it shows that Ronaldo is fully focused on having the strongest team around him as possible.
However, Real fans probably won’t be feeling the same way about this news, as bringing in Pjanic would’ve been a huge coup for Los Blancos considering just how good the Bosnian is.
The midfielder has proven to be a key part of Juve’s side since his arrival from Roma, with Pjanic’s contribution of goals and assists playing a fairly big role in Juve’s claiming two league titles since he joined.
Real fans are probably a bit bitter about Ronaldo considering he left the club this summer just gone, and this story definitely won’t help the club’s fans get over his transfer any time soon…
