Real Madrid monitoring Tottenham defender ahead of summer move

Real Madrid will be in the market for a centre-back this summer and have their eyes on several of Europe’s best.

Nacho is out of contract with the La Liga giants at the end of the season and it opens up a spot for the Madrid club to strengthen further.

According to Todofichajes, Real Madrid’s number one target is RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, but understand that the Croatian will be hard to sign due to his price tag and the interest of several Premier League clubs following his impressive displays at the 2022 World Cup.

Should Los Blancos fail to sign the 21-year-old, they have a Plan B playing in the Premier League.

Real Madrid want Gvardiol

According to the report, Tottenham’s Cristian Romero is a target for Real Madrid and it is stated that Ancelotti would be happy to have him at the Spanish club.

The problem for the La Liga giants is that Tottenham do not plan on selling the World Cup winner, as they consider him a key piece in their project, which could leave the Madrid-based club looking elsewhere.
