Bernabeu side target Borussia Dortmund youngster.
Italian source TuttoMercato claim that Real Madrid are plotting a summer move for talented young German international Mario Gotze.
The 20 year old midfielder is considered one of the hottest prospects in German football and having helped his side to back to back Bundesliga titles it seems Real Madrid are now keen admirers of the playmaker.
Bayern Munich and Monaco are also said to be keen on Goze, who is contracted to Dortmund until the summer of 2016 and as such will cost any prospective suitor a fairly hefty sum.
Jurgen Klopp’s side look likely to lose their grip on the German domestic crown and as such this may well lead Gotze to be considering his options and a move to the Allianz Arena may well have extra gravitas with Pep Guardiola at the helm from the summer onwards.
One would have to wonder where Gotze would fit into Jose Mourinho’s crowded midfield. The Bernabeu boss usually opts for Xabi Alonso with the muscle of Sami Khedira alongside and with Mesut Ozil in front. Then of course there are the likes of Kaka and Luka Modric warming the bench.
Any move for Gotze would then presumably entail a player or two being offloaded by the Spanish giants.
