Bayern Munich are said to be interested in signing Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny according to France Football. The Bavarian side are said to have been impressed by the display put in by the French international in Arsenal’s second leg victory over the Allianz Arena side.

The 27 year old French international has seen significantly less first team action than both Thomas Vermaelen and Per Mertesacker, making just 13 Premier League starts from the club’s 31 fixtures. However in recent weeks he has impressed enough to secure a place in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven in their last four, during which time the North London side have conceded just two goals.

Pep Guardiola is apparently keen to ring the changes at Bayern Munich and hopes to beef up their defence and Koscielny may well be tempted by a move to the newly crowned Bundesliga champions and any firm offer may be hard for the former Lorient man to ignore.

Wenger spent £8.45m to sign Koscielny back in July 2010 and the powerful centre-back has steadily improved and is now a regular in the French national team set-up. Interest in a move to Bayern Munich may increase if Arsenal fail to secure a Champions League berth for next term.
