Saints eye triple move for Celtic’s title winners.
Southampton are rumoured to be keen on making an audacious triple swoop for Celtic trio Victor Wanyama, Gary Hooper and Fraser Forster, according to The Express.
Mauricio Pochettino’s assistant, Jesus Perez, was in Scotland on Sunday to cast an eye over the three in the face of a prospective bid for the three.
They may face a battle to land Wanyama as he has suggested that he is happy at the club, but with a contract expiring in 2016 and a whole host of interested parties lining up to take him off Celtic’s hand, the Saints may have to offer something special to bring him to the south coast.
Hooper has already been linked with moves to Norwich and Aston Villa at various points this season as club’s want to see if he can replicate the 29 goals he has bagged this season in the Premier League.
And Forster has attracted attention ever since his heroics against Barcelona in the group stages of the Champions League earlier this season and winning a call up to the England national side.
Both Wanyama and Hooper would command £8 million fees, respectively, whilst Forster is valued at £4 million, so it would take some serious funds to prize the three away should Southampton be serious about bringing them to England.
