Arsenal Clear-Out Continues: Willing Buyers Keen On Trio

Having offloaded Squillaci, Arshavin and Denilson it appears that Arsene Wenger is set to offload another trio of unwanted Emirates Stadium talents.

A great deal has been made of an apparently massive transfer fund Arsene Wenger will be handed this summer but perhaps even more importantly the Arsenal boss is starting to clear away the deadwood so as to make room for any possible additions.

Having seen Sebastien Squillaci, Andrei Arshavin and Denilson leave the club it appears that three other members of the Gunners squad could be heading for the Emirates Stadium exit sooner rather than later.

Nicklas Bendtner claims he is a wanted man, with five or six clubs said to be keen on signing the Danish international according to Sky Sports.

The 25 year old spent last season on loan at Juventus, no doubt keen on using such a move as a good shop window for his talents, this has somewhat back-fired. Bendtner has failed to score in the eleven games he appeared in for the Turin side and one does wonder at the level of any ‘interested’ parties. One would imagine Wenger would accept a nominal fee for the giant forward

Lukasz Fabianski did impress when called upon towards the end of last season but it appears that Wenger still sees the 28 year old as only a back-up to Wojciech Szczesny, who had something of an up and down campaign.

Now Turkish side Besiktas are said to be keen on Fabianski according to the Daily Star and a move to the Istanbul side could perhaps be a sensible one to consider in order to re-ignite his career.

Gervinho may well join the Pole in a move to Turkey with the Daily Star claiming that the Ivory Coast international is closing in on a £12m move to Galatasaray.

The 26 year old has been more miss than hit, quite literally, since his move to the North London club in the summer of 2011 and with talk of Wenger’s interest in a host of attacking signings this too could prove the right time for Gervinho to consider a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Gervinho has scored 11 goals for Arsenal in 63 appearances since his £10.8m move from Lille.
