Manchester City will try again for AC Milan starlet Stephan El Shaarawy, with a bid of £21million plus Carlos Tevez to land the striker, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The club have already been reported as offering around £34million for the vastly talented 20-year-old, though it seems to have been rejected by the Serie A giants.

However, City are hopeful that the Italians will accept an offer that includes Tevez as part of the deal, as they have shown a strong interest in signing the Argentine from City before.

Tevez came close to leaving the Etihad Stadium for Milan last year after a high-profile bust-up with then City manager Roberto Mancini, though the pair eventually resolved their differences and he ended up working his way back into the first-team setup at the club.

It is still thought that he could move on this summer though, and the likes of Juventus and Monaco are said to have expressed an interest in the 29-year-old.

With City set to appoint a new manager in Manuel Pellegrini, they are unlikely to undergo several changes in their squad this summer, and with a striker said to be a main target, it would not be surprising if Tevez moved on, along with Edin Dzeko.

Dzeko has been mentioned as part of a swap deal with Napoli for Edinson Cavani, though the Uruguayan looks set to join Chelsea instead, meaning City will try again to swap an unwanted attacker for one of their targets, this time with Tevez for El Shaarawy.
