Manchester City are reportedly not convinced with Jack Grealish and are considering a shock sale this summer.

Grealish joined City from Aston Villa for £100m back in 2021 with a huge amount of potential having carried Villa for the past few seasons.

In his final season at Villa Grealish scored seven goals and provided ten assists as he constantly caused problems for defenders.

City to sell Grealish this summer?

The England international’s game has certainly changed under Pep Guardiola, and the free flowing football he played at Villa seems to be a thing of the past.

The 28-year-old has contributed in his time at The Etihad, and was a key part of the side that won the treble last season, scoring five goals and providing 11 assists.

Manchester City are reportedly considering selling Grealish this summer.

Injuries have hindered the former Villa man this season and he’s played just 17 times in the league, scoring three goals and assisting once.

As a result Football Insider are claiming Guardiola isn’t convinced with the Englishman and Grealish is reportedly seen as dispensable this summer.

Grealish hasn’t done an awful lot wrong during his time in Manchester and he’s proven to be a decent asset for the club, but it’s reported City would be willing to listen to offers for him.

Football Insider add a shock sale is considered a ‘growing possibility’, with the club expecting a big fee if they sell the winger.

With three years still left on his current deal Grealish could certainly command a good fee from potential suitors.

It’s believed City are looking to spend big this summer on Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, who is reportedly viewed as an upgrade on what City currently have in those positions, given Grealish’s lack of influence and Kevin De Bruyne’s injuries.

Bayern would reportedly command more than £100m for Musiala who is one of the biggest talents in Europe, and the sale of Grealish would go some way to funding a move for the 21-year-old who has 12 goals and seven assists in all competitions this season.

  1. I think his behaviour celebrating the treble did him no favours. I think Guardiola may have found that distasteful and unprofessional.
