Manchester City were given a boost today but the news that Isco does not feel good about his chances of first team football were he to sign for Real Madrid according to The Telegraph.

The Spanish youngster is currently one of the most sought after players in football after a highly impressive season with Malaga.

Isco’s performances guided Malaga to the quarter-final stages of last season’s Champions League where the Spanish side were unlucky to lose out to eventual runners-up Borussia Dortmund.

But the club are suffering from financial difficulties after their wealthy Qatari owner pulled the plug on his support for the club.

The La Liga side now find themselves in the position of having to sell their best players in order to stay afloat and that means that Isco is almost certain to depart the club in the coming months.

Real Madrid and Manchester City are the two clubs who have made firm contact with the Spanish under-21 international and the player has revealed that he will make a decision between the two of them once the European Under-21 Championships have concluded.

But Isco hinted he was favouring a move to Manchester City as he did not believe he would have a good chance of securing first team football should he move to the Spanish capital.
