Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla has moved to quash talk of a move to join Real Madrid following speculation that the La Liga side were set to make a move to sign the 28 year old according to the Daily Star.

Cazorla had an outstanding first season at the Emirates Stadium, scoring a dozen goals and providing 11 assists in Premier League action alone, and the former Malaga man is keen to pledge his commitment to the Gunners cause, stating;

“In football you have to live in the moment,”

“I have three years left on my contract and I have not thought of anything like that. My plan is to continue at the club.

“Arsenal are treating me very well and I want to win a title with them. In football, you cannot predict the future at any time.”

Carlo Ancelotti has been officially announced as Real Madrid’s new manager and the Italian will be looking to strengthen the Bernabeu squad he has inherited from Jose Mourinho but a move to bring Cazorla back to La Liga does seem more than just a little unlikely.
