Real Madrid are seemingly very keen on landing long term target Gareth Bale with the Daily Star claiming that the Bernabeu side are ready to make a mammoth offer for the 24 year old.

The La Liga side, who have already invested heavily in their squad this summer, will offer £73m PLUS Portuguese wing-back Fabio Coentrao, a deal that could well tempt Andre Villas-Boas to push chairman Daniel Levy into accepting.

The inclusion of the 25 year old left sided player, who cost Real Madrid £26m, as well as a near world record breaking cash sum would effectively fill the North London club’s left sided defensive conundrum whilst also handing Villas-Boas a big transfer fund with which to bring in an effective replacement for Bale.

There is growing speculation about Gareth Bale’s future, which is perhaps unsurprising given the stellar season the Welsh international had last term, when he won both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards following 26 goals and countless assists in all competitions.

Crucially though those goals failed to help the White Hart Lane side to land a coveted Champions League berth and a move to join Spanish giants Real Madrid may prove too tempting to turn down, especially if an official offer of this magnitude was made.
