Barcelona have apparently been sufficiently impressed by the performances of nine year old Zico Jr Marecaldi during his displays with BK Olympic that they have opted to sign the youngster according to Sky Sports.
Zico Jr is apparently already well known in Sweden and must have made quite an impact during a recent recruitment camp in order to persuade the Catalan giants to snap him up.
He will hope to follow Henrik Larsson and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become the third Swede to have ever played senior football for the Nou Camp side though one imagines first team action is some years down the line.
“It’s going to be cool,” the youngster told Swedish daily Skaanska Dagbladet.
