QPR boss is hoping to lure Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor to Loftus Road according to the Daily Express.

The 29 year old Togo international has been frozen out of Andre Villas-Boas’s first team set-up following the arrival of forward Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado and as such could be sent out on loan, just so long as a sizable portion of his big wage packet is covered by the club’s interested in acquiring his services.

Former White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp has already brought in Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto on loan deals and hopes Adebayor can complete a hat-trick of additions from the North London club.

“He’d be a great loan, that’s for sure,” admitted Redknapp.

“I don’t know what will happen with him. He’s a good player but it’s up to Tottenham, they have lots of good players.

“He can’t go on loan in the Premier League, he can only go into the Championship but whether he’d want to do that – it would be difficult I think.”

Adebayor had a fairly disastrous season at Tottenham last term, managing just five goals in 24 Premier League fixtures, this in marked contrast to the previous campaign when the former Arsenal man not only netted 18 goals but also provided a dozen assists in all competitions.
