Highly rated Zenit St Petersburg front man Hulk has dropped a massive hint that he wants to quit the Russian giants when the winter transfer window opens again for business in the new year and be reunited with Tottenham Hotspur head coach Andre Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane, according to reports in the Mail on Sunday.

The powerful Brazil international has been constantly rumoured to be leaving Zenit of late, with many of the Continent’s biggest-name clubs thought to be interested in signing Hulk.

However, it is understood that the striker is desperate to work once again with Villas-Boas, after the pair enjoyed a hugely successful relationship together at Portuguese outfit FC Porto.

In total, the 27-year-old spent four years at the Dragao, during which time Hulk managed to register an impressive 78 goals and 56 assists in total in just his 169 matches in all competitions for the Portuguese team, including an equally eye-catching 54 strikes and 42 assists in only 99 league outings for the club.

But it was during his one campaign playing under Villas-Boas that the attacker really shone, with Hulk netting 36 goals in 51 matches for the Portuguese trainer, and now the Brazilian has issued a come-and-get-me plea to his one-time boss.

“I learned a lot with Andre Villa-Boas. It would be fantastic to play under him one day,” said Hulk.
