England striker not looking to leave White Heart Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has insisted that he is not looking to leave the club even though he is desperate for more first team football, Sky Sports reports.
The 31-year-old has yet to find the back of the net this term, making just the one start as well as featuring seven times from off the bench.
His European and domestic cup record, though, is much more satisfactory as he has already notched up a combned nine goals in seven appearances.
And though he is disappointed to not be featuring more regularly in the Premier League he has insisted that he does not want to seek a move away from the club and will wait for Andre Villas-Boas to call on him at some point in the near future.
“Of course it is frustrating that for all the goals, I have not had much of a chance in the Premier League,” he said.
“Fans ask me all the time, but I don’t need to tell anybody I am frustrated. That is just normal. People know I love my football, and I love scoring goals. When I am not getting the opportunity to do that, it is frustrating.
“But I have never once said I wanted to leave this football club.”
