Former Schalke man not on his way out.
The agent of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby has denied that his client will not be looking to leave the club in the new year as he remains committed to their cause, Goal.com reports.
The 23-year-old joined the White Heart Lane outfit in the previous January transfer window but has struggled to establish himself as a first team regular and was linked with a move to Serie A giants Roma recently.
However, his agent has denied that he is looking to make an exit from the club even though there is considerable interest in his signature from elsewhere.
“Lewis has definitely no intention of leaving Tottenham,” agent Marcus Noak said.
“On the contrary, he feels very comfortable at the club and in London. He wants to establish himself further and contribute so the club can reach its goals this season.”
He had missed the entirety of the side’s pre season campaign thanks to an injury he picked up whilst on international duty with Germany but fought his way back to full fitness quickly and managed to get himself in the starting XI for seven consecutive games before being dropped down to the bench for the clash against Newcastle.
