Tim Sherwood is open to selling Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson as well as summer signings Erik Lamela and Roberto Solado as he looks to re-shape his White Hart Lane attack.

Sigurdsson has not managed to secure a foothold in the Tottenham starting eleven, starting ten of the club’s 26 Premier League fixtures this term and a return to the Bundesliga looks on the cards.

Attempts to sell Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela may prove trickier, especially if the North London club looks to recoup a large percentage of the funds used to sign the duo.

Spanish international Soldado cost £26m and has scored five goals in 21 Premier League fixtures, a stat that is all the more woeful when you consider that four of those goals came from the penalty spot.

Erik Lamela arrived from AS Roma for a club record £30m and scored just once in 17 appearances in all competitions and is apparently unsettled at Spurs.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will not want to sell either player for cut-price fees but one wonders if the Premier League side will be able to recoup much more than 50% of the fees they paid last summer.

Fortunately for Sherwood he has seen Togo international produce some match winning display, scoring eight goals in 11 Premier League appearances this term, form that has helped keep Tottenham in the hunt for a top four finish.
