Barcelona want to sign Chelsea’s David Luiz as part of a massive summer spending spree, according to the Mirror.

The Catalans are in need of at least one new centre half because captain Carles Puyol has announced he will leave the Nou Camp in the summer.
The club’s vice-president Javier Faus has insisted there will be some ‘big investments’ in the transfer window – and versatile Blues star Luiz is thought to be the La Liga giants’ top target.
Faus said: “We will be making some big investments in the transfer market this summer. Our financial situation will not be an obstacle.
“We are ready just like we will be ready in the future. The club’s main priority will always be to maintain sporting excellence.”
The Catalans will reportedly be willing to pay around £25m to land Luiz, who has not been a guaranteed starter this season under Jose Mourinho, and Chelsea may be prepared to sell the flamboyant Selecao star.
