The Brazilian international is thought to be keen on securing a move away from the San Siro at the end of the season after suffering through a desperately disappointing campaign that looks as though they will miss out on securing European football next term.

Milan are currently sat in 10th in the Serie A table, whilst their Champions League campaign came to an end last week following defeat to Atletico Madrid and there are now question marks hanging over the future of new coach Clarence Seedorf.

And a source close to White Heart Lane has said that Baldini is looking to utilise his contacts in Italy to bring the forward in as a replacement for Jermain Defoe, who left last month to join MLS side Toronto FC.

Former Manchester City man Robinho will have two years remaining on his contract at the San Siro when the transfer window reopens, and may welcome a return to the Premier League as he has unfinished business from his time with Manchester City.
