Any fool can see that Spurs’ left side has been a weak spot this season, with number ten Christian Eriksen often forced to play out of position on the flank due to the dearth of decent options. Liverpool nearly signed Ukraine international Konoplyanka in January but Dnipro’s chairman has since said he is in talks with Spurs.
