Tottenham have reportedly made an £18m offer for Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony according to the Metro.

The White Hart Lane side struggled for goals last term and new boss Mauricio Pochettino clearly feels the Ivory Coast international could be the solution to the problem and has offered £18m for the former Vitesse Arnhem man.

Liverpool are also said to be interested in the 25 year old, with Brendan Rodgers no doubt looking to fill the void left by the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

Swansea City signed Bony last summer in a club record £12m deal and the powerful striker netted an impressive 25 goals in his debut campaign at the Liberty Stadium and boss Garry Monk may struggle to keep hold of his top-scorer.

Last term big money signings Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado both failed to make an impact, scoring six Premier League goals between them, and as such both players must surely be concerned for their long term futures at the north London side.

Pochettino would do well to keep hold of Emmanuel Adebayor given the Togo international was the only effective striking option in 2013/14.
