Tottenham Hotspur could be edging closer to completing four new signings as they get their summer transfer window business underway, according to various sources.

The north London club spent over £100m in last year’s transfer window in an attempt to replace the departing Gareth Bale, who joined Real Madrid for a world-record fee of £85m, but they have yet to bring anyone in so far this pre-season.

New manager Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with a number of interesting moves, and the Argentine coach could now be about to complete a raid on his old club Southampton as one of four new players set to arrive at White Hart Lane.

With a new addition in goal, left-back and two players to arrive in midfield, these deals should represent important work for Tottenham as they look to address the important areas of their squad in an attempt to launch an improved assault on the Premier League top four places this season.

4) Michel Vorm (Swansea City)

Despite the presence of both Hugo Lloris and Brad Friedel as options in goal for Tottenham, Pochettino has seemingly been keen to recruit a new signing in that position, and has targeted a move for Swansea City shot-stopper Michel Vorm. The Dutchman has been one of the outstanding performers for the Swans since their promotion to the Premier League, and has previously been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona, though they have since looked elsewhere to sign new goalkeepers. White Hart Lane could now be the player’s next destination in a double raid by Spurs on the Welsh club, with a £5m move expected to go through soon.
