Welsh left-back Davies has signed a five year deal and will ably fill the ‘problem’ area in the White Hart Lane defence, being a far stronger and more effective option than either Danny Rose or Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

The 21 year old made a total of 91 appearances for Swansea City and has ten national team caps to his name.

30 year old Dutch keeper Michel Vorm won a fair amount of plaudits in his first season at the Liberty Stadium but the arrival of Lukasz Fabianski perhaps left the Dutch international ready to consider a new challenge.

Vorm will have to battle Hugo Lloris for a spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven.

Sigurdsson returns to south Wales having impressed during a previous loan spell at the club when Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the club.

The 24 year old has signed a four year deal with Garry Monk’s side and will hope to secure the regular first team football he couldn’t successfully attain whilst at north London side Spurs.
