Tottenham Hotspur now have one foot in the group stages of the Europa League after an impressive comeback victory against Cypriot side AEL Limassol in the first leg of their play-off tie.
Spurs fell behind early on when Hugo Lloris was unable to get his fingertips to a prodded effort from the edge of the area – but the introduction of Erik Lamela and Moussa Dembele swung the game in Tottenham’s favour.
Lamela crossed for Roberto Soldado to smash home at the far post to level the score, before Harry Kane raced through to smash home a vital winner for Tottenham, who will be confident of finishing the job at White Hart Lane.
