Celtic will look to complete the loan signing of Man City striker John Guidetti despite the transfer window having slammed shut according to the Daily Express.

The 22 year old Swedish international arrived at Parkhead on Monday but a move was not completed on time though the Scottish champions hope to secure the deal nonetheless.

Guidetti has struggled to make an impact at the Etihad Stadium with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic ahead of the youngster in Manuel Pellegrini’s pecking order.

Man City brought in Guidetti in 2008 and the forward has spent spells out on loan to Burnley, Feyenoord and Stoke City but is yet to play a single minute of Premier League action with his parent club and would probably jump at the chance of a move to Celtic.

Bhoys boss Ronny Deila signed Serbian striker Stefan Scepovic on transfer deadline day to help boost his Celtic squad.
