The Cameroon international joined the Hammers on a season-long loan deal after falling out of favour at the Nou Camp, and has impressed so far at Upton Park with a reminder of his best form from his first spell in the Premier League with Arsenal.

It remains to be seen if Song will make a permanent move to West Ham, though he seems unlikely to win a place in the Barcelona team after years of struggling to make a first-team breakthrough at the Nou Camp.

Fans have been pleased with his performances and attitude since moving to the club, and Gold may now have hinted strongly at a permanent deal as he echoed the belief that he should be signed up.

Gold is known for his openness and honesty when interacting with the club’s supporters on social media, and they will be delighted to hear the club are considering a move for Song.
