Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has said that Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will win the Premier League title with his former club.

Ronaldo spent six years at Old Trafford under the guidance of legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson and enjoyed plenty of success, but believes that van Gaal can emulate the Scot.
“Van Gaal is a fantastic coach and I am certain he will make United champions again – if not this year then very soon after that,” the Portugal captain was quoted by the Mirror.
“Sir Alex Ferguson said that Van Gaal will need time – and he is right. Because, in the beginning at United, even Sir Alex didn’t win anything for a few years.”
However, Ronaldo doesn’t think this success will be immediate and thinks that Chelsea will probably win the title this season after their strong start to the campaign.
“Chelsea are stronger than all the other teams this year although in the Premier League you never know what can happen,” the 29-year-old continued.
“Chelsea have made a great start and they can be champions.
“I hope Manchester United can come again at the top of the league but, at the moment, they are many points behind Chelsea.”
The Red Devils host the Blues in their next league game, with van Gaal looking to be the first boss to inflict defeat on Jose Mourinho this term.
Meanwhile Ronaldo enjoyed success himself on Saturday, scoring in the 3-1 El Clasico win over fierce rivals FC Barcelona.
