Just earlier this month, new Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini was said to be interested in acquiring Borini’s services, but now it appears he will face competitions from La Viola.

A report from TuttoMercatoWeb suggests that Florence boss Vincenzo Montella is a great admirer of the the 23 year old and would attempt to sign the Italian forward as soon as January.

Borini has suffered a bit-part role at Anfield since his move from Parma in the summer of 2012 and has been constantly overlooked on numerous occasions by Brendan Rodgers, who just doesn’t seem to trust him.

Borini excelled in a loan move to Sunderland last season, which saw him establish a starting role, but chances have been few and for between since his return to Merseyside and the young Italian may be inclined to cut his losses now before his career suffers further.
