Real Madrid are set to offer out-of-contract midfielder Sami Khedira to Bundesliga strugglers Borussia Dortmund in a bid to help finance a move for Signal Iduna Park star Marcos Reus, report El Confidencial in Spain, potentially delivering a decisive blow to Arsenal’s hopes of landing the German international on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Khedira is yet to sign a new deal at the Bernabeu and is looking increasingly likely to leave the reigning European champions after failing to regain a regular first team place from impressive duo Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, with the former Stuttgart man now looking likely to leave when his contract expires in the summer.
With Real interested in signing Dortmund forward Marco Reus, however, it is suggeted that Carlo Ancelotti’s men could look to use Khedira as bait to help finance a deal for the German international forward, who is widely expected to move on in the near future.
