This is surprising considering the Gunners are six points ahead of fifth placed Liverpool at the moment, and manager Arsene Wenger has made it in to Europe’s premier competition in every one of the last 17 years. Even the 38-year-old admits that it is an outside bet.

Neville predicted: “For me Chelsea are going to win the league. I think they’ll win it with three or four games to spare. I’m going for an outside bet of Manchester United finishing second and then I’m for City and Liverpool.”

Louis van Gaal’s side finishing in second is not so unlikely as they are just two points behind Manchester City with the Mancunian derby still to come. Recent victories over Tottenham and Liverpool have given some United fans hope that they can overhaul their fierce rivals. Their side appears to have eventually found form after a poor first half of the season.
