Mesut Ozil wishes returning Arsenal quartet good luck ahead of U21 fixture

It’s not just Arsenal fans that are excited by the return of injured quartet Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Serge Gnabry and Abou Diaby – fellow midfielder Mesut Ozil has taken to Instagram to wish his teammates good luck as they stepped up their comebacks in the U21 fixture against Stoke City at the Emirates on Tuesday evening.

The Gunners were handed a major boost when the club revealed that the quartet were all set to feature in the game against the young Potters, in the latest stage of their rehabilitations.

Wilshere, Arteta and Diaby all took part in a behind closed doors friendly last week against a Brentford XI and came through that unscathed as they look to give manager Arsene Wenger a selection headache in the closing stages of the season.

The latter has not made a first team appearance since September, while the former two have been out of action since November.

When all fit it will be interesting to see who is selected to play in what is already a hugely talented midfield – and one that has been performing excellently in their absence.
