Arsenal consider selling Jack Wilshere to land Southampton star

The future of Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere remains increasingly uncertain at the Emirates Stadium, with the England international having spent much of another season nursing an injury on the sidelines.

The latest rumours claim that Arsene Wenger is considering letting the midfielder leave in order to fund a move for Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.

According to the Daily Mail, the Saints value Schneiderlin at £27m, and such is Wenger’s admiration of the France international, that he would, apparently, consider letting Wilshere leave.

Manchester City are reportedly keen on his, as well as Everton’s Ross Barkley’s, signature to help with their homegrown players concerns.

Wilshere joined Arsenal as a nine-year-old, and such is his devotion and history with the club, it is difficult to see the midfielder agreeing to an exit.

But unless the 23-year-old can overcome his injury problems – that will be the very least of his worries.
