Wolfsburg and Belgium playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is still open to a move away from the Bundesliga’s second place side insists his agent, with rumours of a £45m move to Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich or Manchester City in the offing according to The Guardian.

The Belgian moved to Germany from Chelsea in Janusry 2014 for £18m, after failing to force his way into the Blues first team. Despite this, he has gone on to enjoy an incredibly successful period of his career in the Bundesliga, guiding his side to second place and the quarter final of the Europa League. The 23-year-old has also scored 15 goals and racked up a remarkable 22 assists.

Bayern are considered favourites for the midfielder after he starred in a 4-1 humbling of the champions elect in January, though his agent Patrick De Koster says it is too early to say where he will be playing next season.

“For the moment, there are no formal discussions. Of course in the next few weeks I will be going around the world to talk about the situation with Kevin but this is just informal information,” he said.

“I will talk to everybody but Kevin is very, very happy with Wolfsburg and the way they have treated him since he arrived from Chelsea last year. There are still five games to play and hopefully they can make sure of a place in the Champions League next season so it is a little bit too early to be making any decisions. He has a four-year contract at Wolfsburg so we will have to see what they want to do.”

Manchester City have endured a disappointing season after last year winning the Premier League title and with an ageing squad are on the lookout for new recruits. De Bruyne fits the profile and De Koster has admitted he has spoken to the Citizens’ director of football Txiki Begiristain and denied any contract with Manchester United.
