New Chelsea star Pedro had a debut to remember as his performance against West Brom on Sunday afternoon inspired the reigning Premier League champions to their first win of the new season.
The Spaniard, who signed for the Blues earlier in the week from Liga BBVA giants Barcelona scored one and registered an assist in the first-half at the Hawthorns as the visitors ran out 3-2 winners, despite playing for the majority of the second half with 10-men.
Pedro broke the deadlock after 20 minutes after combining well with Eden Hazard before his effort took a deflection en route to hitting the back of the net.
On the half hour mark he turned provider as his cross-cum-shot was turned home by Diego Costa, which handed the visitors a comfortable lead.
The Baggies twice reduced the two-goal deficit, but couldn’t force an equaliser to ruin Pedro’s day.
