Manchester United are interested in bringing Paul Scholes back to the club as a coach, reports the Metro.

The 40-year-old is is currently a pundit for BT Sport, and hasn’t been afraid of criticising the club in this position. Despite this, the Red Devils want him to help their Under 19s side in the UEFA Youth League this season. The former midfielder would be able to combine this role with his media position.

If he agrees to join, the ex-England international would join old teammates Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt at the club. He was last involved with United during David Moyes’ ill-fated tenure at Old Trafford, but this hasn’t put off the Scot’s successor Louis van Gaal.
