REVEALED!: How £36m Manchester United wonderkid almost MISSED out on making full debut

Manchester United wonderkid Anthony Martial was almost denied the chance to make his full debut for the club on Tuesday night, because he initially was not on the team bus as they set off for the Philips Stadion, Mirror Sport reports.

The teenager was named in the starting XI for United Champions League opener against PSV Eindhoven and had a member of the club’s staff to thank for helping him board the team bus that had looked set to leave him at the hotel.

Martial, who joined the Red Devils from Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco on transfer deadline day earlier in the month for a fee believed to be in the region of £36million, was unable to replicate the immediate impact he made against Liverpool at the weekend as United crashed to a 2-1 defeat in Holland.

Memphis Depay had given the visitors the lead against his former club, but goals from Hector Moreno and Luciano Narsingh completed the the turnaround and inflicted a second successive away defeat for Louis van Gaal’s side.
