Arsenal ‘built to win the title’ according to ex-Chelsea boss

Prior to Arsenal‘s devastating loss to Olympiacos in the Champions League, Arsene Wenger‘s boys received a surprising vote of confidence for their chances in the Premier League – specifically from a foe they just beat.

According to the Metro, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri believes Arsenal could win the EPL title this season due to the quality of their players.

“We didn’t make mistakes, it was just big quality from them,” Ranieri said after Arsenal beat his team 5-2 in Leicester City’s first loss of the season. “I can say this for definite – I think they are built to win the title. You also need a little luck but their players and the whole squad is very good.”

Despite their two losses in the Champions League group stage, Arsenal have played very nicely since their 1-1-1 record at the start of the season. The Gunners have won three of their last four, with the lone loss coming in a controversial match against Chelsea that was marred by questionable officiating.

Arsenal are currently fourth on the table with 13 points and have a chance to tie No. 1 Manchester United if Arsene Wenger can find a way to beat them this weekend at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have not won the title since the 2003-04 season but have finished in the top four in each of the last 11 seasons.
