Roman Abramovic confirms he wants to bring Antoine Griezmann to Chelsea

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic has reportedly identified Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann as his top priority ahead of the January transfer window, according to the Metro.

The 23-year-old is one of the most in form players in Europe this season, an is reported to have a whole host of top clubs vying for his signature (via Metro).

And according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are one of the favourites to land his signature after Roman Abramvoic personally requested that the club go all out to snap him up.

The Metro claim that the France international has a release clause in his contract that is currently set at £47million, but with Chelsea desperate to add some fresh attacking talent to their line up it is thought that the fee won’t deter them from making a move.

Chelsea are said to want to pair him with striker Diego Costa, though he could also come on board as a replacement as the Brazilian-born Spaniard is said to be open for a return to Atletico.
