Barcelona will reportedly look to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey this summer, while Everton star John Stones is also on their radar.
According to The Express, the Catalan giants are monitoring both players, with coach Luis Enrique said to be a huge admirer of the Welshman who has continued to develop into one of the leading playmakers in the Premier League under Arsene Wenger.
Speculation suggests that Barcelona could offer up to £50m to try and tempt Arsenal into allowing him to leave the Emirates at the end of the season, while they will also compete with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United for the signing of Stones.
The 21-year-old has impressed for the Toffees which in turn has resulted in attracting significant interest from the top clubs from around Europe.
Coupled with Barca’s transfer embargo being lifted after it had restricted them from making any signings in recent transfer windows, the La Liga and European champions will be open to splashing out in order to strengthen what is already a daunting squad.
Whether or not they are able to persuade both the Gunners and Ramsey to part company remains to be seen, as the Premier League giants are currently on course to mount a genuine title bid.
Wenger’s side sit top of the table after 20 games and have a two-point lead over nearest rivals Leicester City, but with so much time remaining in the campaign, they will be desperate to avoid further disappointment.
Meanwhile, Ramsey will hope to continue to play an influential role in the coming months, ahead of leading Wales into Euro 2016. After this summer’s tournament, the 25-year-old may well be in higher demand depending on far he can take his club and country between now and June.
