France international eyed by La Liga side as replacement for Arsenal, Barcelona target

La Liga side Celta Vigo are understood to be considering a move for Olympique Lyonnais forward Claudio Beauvue.

According to L’Equipe [citing an unnamed Spanish source], Celta made an updated offer of €5 million for the OL frontman on Thursday evening, with the offer reportedly including a bonus to tempt OL to sell.

The 27-year-old only moved to Lyon during the summer, despite interest from Everton and West Ham United, and his under contract until 2019.

However, he’s struggled to demonstrate the form he showed at En Avant de Guingamp last term so far this season, managing only five goals in 19 Ligue 1 outings to date.

Celta’s move for Beauvue can be seen as a clear indication that the La Liga side are preparing to offload Nolito, the hotshot who has been heavily linked with a move to either Arsenal or Barcelona.

Indeed, Celta boss Eduardo Berizzo has revealed that while Nolito is yet to agree a deal with either of his suitors, the club would be looking to replace him should he go [Marca].
