Chelsea are said to be stepping up their interest in signing Real Madrid’s highly-rated full-back Dani Carvajal, according to reports in Spain.
Carvajal has been linked with an exit from the Spanish capital recently, having lost his place to Danilo despite being a regular fixture in the first team for the past 12 months.
It had been reported earlier in the week that the Blues were looking into the possibility of bringing the Spanish international to Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer transfer window, but the new reports claim that they may decide to attempt to bring him on board this month instead.
However, they will have their work cut out for them as there are just a few days of the current transfer window left, but with their season still not panning out the way they’d hoped it would be no surprise to see them make a late surge in the market.
