Wenger instructs Arsenal scouts to watch Leicester City star man, as coach weighs up summer move

According to reports, Arsene Wenger has instructed his scouts to keep tabs on Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante over the coming months.

As reported by the Sunday People [as per the Mirror], the Arsenal coach is weighing up a summer move for the Franco-Malian midfielder, and has asked his scouts to take a thorough look at the Leicester star over the coming months.

The scouts’ period of observation will begin on Sunday, when the Foxes travel to the Emirates Stadium in a potentially decisive title battle.

24-year-old Kante has been one of the revelations of the Premier League season, and while many of the Foxes players has emerged as unlikely stars in their race to the pinnacle of the table, the former Stade Malherbe Caen player has been a major hit.

Particularly impressive is that the powerhouse is playing in his first season in England, having adapted to a new league and a new country after leaving French football during the summer.

Arsenal signed Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny during the January transfer window, but with the likes of Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini all the wrong side of 30, the Gunners central midfield will need an overhaul sooner rather than later.

Kante could be just the man!
