Arsenal transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has hinted that he’s keen to move to La Liga, and while the Borussia Dortmund forward name-checked Real Madrid, he isn’t ruling out the prospect of a move to Barcelona.

In recent months, the Bundesliga hitman—who has scored 20 league goals in 20 games for BVB so far this season—has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.

Indeed, so intense have rumours become, that current Gunners frontman Olivier Giroud has revealed to the Arsenal official club magazine [via Goal] that he isn’t intimidated by the prospect of a new attacker being brought to the Emirates Stadium.

However, Arsene Wenger may have to look elsewhere as he looks to bolster his attack, with Aubameyang—speaking to L’Equipe—hinting that he’s keen on a move to Spanish football.

The Gabon frontman revealed that his dream was to play for Real Madrid, however, he also admitted that he’d be open to moving to any ‘great Spanish club’ and it’s clear that he wouldn’t turn down the chance to move to Barcelona.

“My childhood dream? To play at Real Madrid,” the forward began, speaking to L’Equipe [subscription required]. “In 2014, before he died, I promised my grandfather who was from Avila, 110 kilometers from Madrid, that I would play there. It will be complicated, but it sits in a corner of my head.

“When I was a kid, I watched Hugo Sanchez videos. The backflip I sometimes do when I score is actually an homage to him.

“Real Madrid, or another great Spanish club, would also be a great gift to my mother.”
